A Complete Molecular Solution

After isolating the target RNA from the sample using the NucliSENS® easyMAG® magnetic extraction platform, the NucliSENS EasyQ® hMPV assay is run directly on the automated NucliSENS EasyQ® Analyzer. The combination of NucliSENS EasyQ hMPV Reagents with the two platforms and associated reagents provides a complete and standardized molecular testing solution.


NucliSENS EasyQ hMPV Reagents and platform can easily be used in outine procedures by laboratories*. Full technical support is offered through the bioMérieux network.

The kit generates a conclusive and consequently truly useful result. A positive result means that hMPV RNA is present in the nucleic acid extract. A negative result is systematically validated by the presence of an internal homologous control, providing a high level of quality assurance.

Same-day result

The total turn-around-time from extraction to final result is approximately 3 hours, giving a rapid result for earlier decision making.

High Sensitivity and Specificity

The sensitivity of this assay is at least 10 copies of in vitro transcribed human metapneumovirus RNA per amplification reaction.(1)

No cross-reactivity was shown for RNA of PIV 1, PIV 2, PIV 3, PIV 4, RSV A, RSV B, SARS CoV, Influenza A, Influenza B, indicating that the assay is specific for hMPV RNA.(1,2,3)
